Expert-led antenatal education
Taught by a qualified antenatal educator with a degree in Antenatal & Postnatal Education, offering evidence-based guidance and real-world experience.
Birth preparation
Understand your options for labour, birth choices, and pain management in a relaxed, practical way.
Birth partner involvement
Partners learn how to stay calm, informed, and confident throughout pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
Feeding and newborn care
Inclusive discussions on feeding (breast, bottle, or combination), soothing, sleep, and early bonding.
Postnatal recovery and wellbeing
Realistic advice on physical recovery, emotional adjustment, and self-care.
Baby brain development
Learn how your baby connects, learns, and grows in the early months.
Ongoing community and support
Your journey doesn’t end when the course does. Families are always welcome to return to the Centre for feeding and parenting support for as long as they need it. There’s never a charge for this help, and our team is here to offer reassurance, guidance, and a friendly face whenever you need one.
Venue: Devon Antenatal Family Centre, Barnstaple — with free parking after 6pm
Ideal timing: Between 25–35 weeks pregnant but come whenever you feel ready!
You’ll leave feeling confident, connected, and supported — not just for birth, but for the months that follow too.
Each course also includes a reunion to celebrate the births and unlimited postnatal support.
